Accident Protection Insurance
Information to help you plan your accidental protection coverage.
Why do I need accidental insurance?
You can never predict or anticipate an accident, and having insurance can give you peace of mind when the time comes. Visiting the doctor can be a large expense, and if you are injured and unable to work other expenses, like mortgages and bills can become overwhelming.
Accidental insurance is another option to help you pay for medical costs that occurred during an injury with low deductibles of your choosing. You will be provided a max benefit amount of your choosing as well to help cover any expenses from your injury.
The amount you will receive from accidental insurance depends on your injury and what kind of coverage you have. For example, if you get injured from outdoor activity, the cash you will receive will pay for the ambulance, emergency room visit and out of pocket medical expenses. HSS will find the appropriate accidental coverage of up to $15,000, with deductibles ranging from $100 to $500.
What does accidental insurance not cover?
